Monday, Monday . . .
Good morning! As promised I'm adding the link to the Album I made in my SCS gallery so that you can view all of the projects we made at Saturday's stamp camp. I don't think the images have been approved yet, so you may want to check back in a couple of hours if you cannot see the photos. Here it is - Spring 07 Stamp Camp Album.
As most of you probably know, SCS has been doing a Featured Stamper challenge each week. It's when you choose a card from the chosen stamper's gallery to case. There are rules, which are in this thread. This week's Featured Stamper is Emily Giovanni which many of you know already. She does beautiful work - truly inspirational! So I decided to give the challenge a try this week.
Here's Emily's card that I chose to use and here is my card. I loved Emily's chocolate and white card, it's so simple and elegant and since I just got the new SU Au Chocolat paper I thought I'd give it a try. As you can see I switch the colors, besides using vanilla instead of white, I reversed them and made chocolate the predominate color. I also used a different stamp since I didn't have the A Muse stamp she used. Like Emily's, my card is 4x4 and I used my Slit punch to do the scallops, but I used my CM round cutting system and the corner rounder punch to make my scalloped circle since I do not have the giga scalloped punch that EVERYONE else has! :) I think this came out cute, I think I still like Emily's better but . . . .
So, today's pretty yucky here, rainy, cold, back to winter-type weather. I hear it's not supposed to change much all week! We had such a gorgeous weekend too! Oh well, my crocuses have started growing - you can see 1" little green shoots starting to appear which makes me hopeful that Spring really is coming!!
For those of you local readers, I will be placing an order this week so if you have need (or want) of anything please let me know as soon as possible.
Have a great day!
