I Stamped Today!

I want to thank everyone for your great support of me yesterday! It was a very difficult thing to actually do - once your there at the vet's you start questioning your judgment. It definitely was hard and still is but I do know it was time. Thank you everyone for your kind words and thoughts, they are so appreciated!!

I did finally stamp today, with much difficulty . . . but I managed to complete 2 cards. One for today's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge. The challenge is to make a masculine card with a non-masculine stamp set. My main goal was to use this gorgeous paper I bought a couple of weeks ago. It's from BoBunny called Blueberry Paisley and I just love it!!! (Since it's a rainy day here the colors did not come out great in the picture - I think I need a better light!). I also wanted to try a Cami Trifold Card. It took me way longer than it should have because I had a hard time lining up my circles and stamps but I really love the card! The paper has shades of Not Quite Navy, Navy & Buckaroo Blue in it and I used Old Olive for the card base. For the stamping I used the SAB set Happy Harmony. I inked the flowers in So Saffron, colored the stems with an Old Olive Marker and then "thumped" the flowers with Not Quite Navy & Brocade Blue markers. It gives it almost a watercolored effect which is really pretty. The ribbon is from a pack of BoBunny ribbon that coordinates with the paper - there are 5 beautiful ribbons in the pack!

Cardstock: Old Olive, Confetti White, Buckaroo Blue, BoBunny Blueberry Paisley & stripe
Stamps: Happy Harmony
Inks: So Saffron, Basic Black, Markers - Not Quite Navy, Brocade Blue & Old Olive
Accessories: BoBunny ribbon, Vintage Brads, Rich Regal Eyelets, CM circle cutting system, slit punch, Crop-a-Dile

The next card was one I tried to start yesterday and abandoned. I'm still not sure about it, but I'm posting it anyway. Again, the colors did not photograph well. The card is 4 1/4" square. I heat embossed the doodle in the corner using my Rose Red craft pad and clear EP. Then I colored in the flowers with a white gel pen and the long doodles with my Gelly Roll glittery pen (not sure what the color is called). I also colored around the large flowers with the glitter pen. They are cut from some scraps of the Fancy Pants Key Lime paper I used a couple of days ago on the Gratefulness Journal.

Cardstock: Rose Red, Regal Rose, WW
Stamps: Doodle This, Faux Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)
Inks: Rose Red craft, Stazon Black
Accessories: Rich Regals Brads, White Gel Pen, Gelly Roll pen, Clear EP

Have a great weekend! Thanks again for stopping by!
