Fall Fun

Yesterday was my husband's birthday so I had a good "excuse" to stamp up a quick card.  I used the sketch from The Challenge which was fun to use with the stamps I picked out! Here's the sketch:

The stamps are from My Favorite Things (retired unfortunately).

As you can see, I turned the sketch on it's side.  I love the way the ties worked as the element of the flags!

And since this was a fun and quick sketch to use and I was loving this paper pad and the Fall colors, I decided to play along with the TCP Tuesday #324 challenge from The Cat's Pajamas!  The challenge was to use Fall colors.  I just received Sending Me in the mail (it's back in stock- yea!) and since I have picked up a few Copics in the last week or two I used the sweet bun-bun.

I did a little paper piecing on the mail bag to give it a bit of dimension but otherwise it's a pretty simple card.  I'm loving the neat wooden dots my friend Kate sent - they go perfectly I think!

Hello again! I'm on a little roll - I've made 5-6 cards in a week and I've enjoyed it so much! I really love getting back into stamping!

I used the TCP Tuesday challenge from The Cat's Pajamas for this card - use at least 3 patterned papers. I used 4, think I'll get bonus points? ;)

All the stamps and dies are from TCP - love the scrolly script, don't you?

I really need to replace my camera this week - the colors are SO much prettier IRL!

TCP Release Day Blog Hop!

I used one of my favorite sets for this release - Official Grinch!  I have to say that like a lot of us that have been TCP fans for a while it was Sprinkle and Poochie that were my first loves! Now, there are so many wonderful characters to love but I always get warm fuzzies when I see this pair! :)

Sprinkle just cracks me up here - you can just about see her eyes rolling back and hear the tone of her meow can't you?!  I love it!  Don't you love her fun "ugly sweater"?  It's such a fun way to use paper piecing!

I even decorated the inside of this one because I wanted to show you the new PopUp Pivot CutUps die and I wanted to add Poochie! :)  He gets his very own "ugly sweater" too!

TCP Release Day Blog Hop!

I used one of the newly released holidays sets, Joy to the World for my card today.  I also used the NEW Cutables file, Twisted Easel Card.  These Cutables are so easy to use! You can use them with your cutting machine (e.g., a Cameo) or you can use the .pdf to cut it out yourself.

Now I know these colors are your traditional holiday colors but I challenged myself give it a try and I think it turned out ok! This adorable new set not only features our favorite trio of penguins, but also has lots of beautiful sentiments.  I just {love} it!

You can see that I chose to stamp my main image on the base of the easel instead of the stand-up part.  I also stamped the penguins directly onto the dp since it was subtle.

I used the large Ornaments CutUps dies to add to the easel and embellished it with some super sparkly icicles made with the NEW Slime/Icicles CutUps die.

TCP Tuesday 274

Good morning!  It's Tuesday and time to play along with TCP Tuesday over at The Cat's Pajamas!  The current challenge is a super fun sketch - simple but really great for all occasions! I'll be using this again for sure!

I used Simple Blooms which is a lovely floral silhouette set.  I used some pretty paper from Simple Stories which, when paired with a great stamp set, made this card just come together with quickly!  I used some TCP CutUps dies as well - Queen of Hearts border CutUps die and Butterflies CutUps die.

TCP Tuesday - Anything Goes!

Good morning everyone! I've got two cards to share with you today for The Cat's Pajamas. The first one is from the last TCP Tuesday challenge which was a sketch challenged and I totally forgot to post my card! It's been done since the release but silly me didn't post it.

So I used Aye, Eye, Ifor this card and made a cute little play on words with the awesome sentiments and images Alma included - this set is so much fun!!

Fast forward to the current TCP Tuesday Challenge - Anything Goes! I love these challenges because no one has am excuse lot to play along, literally "anything goes!!"


I used Life is Like Ice Cream for this card, just love the long-earred bunny in the ice cream dish! The sketch is pretty simple here, just let's the bunny shine!!

TCP Tuesday 269!

 

Good morning!  It's TCP Tuesday and this is the last week you have to enter this challenge.  But never fear, we are also having a Summer Blog Hop and the prize is fab so be sure and play along!! Check out the TCP Blog for all the info about where to link up.

Nancy is the hostess for the TCP Tuesday challenge and she's given us a great inspiration challenge.  Check out the picture.  Now, I know the "normal" thing to do would be to go with the red, white and blue, patriotic theme but I guess I'm not normal! :)  I went with the floral theme - I just love those little flowers on the cake and since we have brand new flower CutUps dies and stamps I just went with it!


I used the Simple Blooms stamp set that is a gorgeous floral silhouette set!  I had a bit of mixed media fun with the set (which will give you tons of additional ways to use these pretty stamps!).  I used some fun ink sprays and water and sprayed them directly on my carft sheet.  Then I dragged my tag through the colors and let it dry.  I also used a few ink sprays and stencils to add some additional interest.

Finally, I simple stamped my silhouette flowers using black ink right over all the color - I just love the beautiful contrast you get!

To add just a bit more, I used the new Petal Posies CutUps dies and some book paper to add a pretty embellishment to the tag and behind it. It's bright and cheery and I hope you'll give this a try - so fun!

Sneaky Peek Starts Today!

Good morning!! Guess what today is! Can ya, huh, huh?? Well, I suppose I can tell you that The Cat's Pajamas is kicking off Sneaky Peek Week today! YEA!  We have 8 brand new sets and 3 new CutUps dies available on Tuesday, June 17.  We are so excited to share all of the amazing new stamps with you!

Since today is also TCP Tuesday I have a twofer - a Sneaky Peek that also qualifies for TCP Tuesday.  Kelli Hull is hosting our challenge today and it's a color challenge.  Check it out!

Today's peeked set is called Strange & Wonderful.  I used one of the newest Cutables files that Alma will be telling you about!! I am so super-duper excited about these Cutables!  This card looks difficult to make but not with the Cutables file!

TCP Tuesday - Anything Goes!

Hello!! Wow, what a long time it's been since I posted anything crafty!   Well, let's fix that today - it's Tuesday and TCP Tuesday is going on right now at The Cat's Pajamas.  The best part is that this challenge is Anything Goes which means there are no excuses for not playing along!  And for every two week challenge there is a Cat Cash prize!

I made this card for my son's 7th birthday using stamps and dies from the last release at TCP.  The stamps are Your Number is Up - love this set!

I used the coordinating Number Plate CutUps die to emboss the large numbers on the background panel.  Then I used the Framed Up 2 CutUps dies to make the sentiment panel.

I have to say that these fabulous CutUps dies just make me so happy!! There are so many fun ways to use them!

TCP Release Day Hop!

Welcome to The Cat's Pajamas Release Day Blog Hop!! Have you been following along with us all week?  This release has so many amazing new stamps and dies!   You should have arrived here from Christine Okken's blog today - she was one of our Swanky Stampers this time around and did a fabulous job!

Not only are we hopping with new stamps today but it's also TCP Tuesday so the new challenge is up!  Noelle has challenged us to use Clouds in our project  - perfect!! Several of the new sets either have clouds are would pair up perfectly with clouds!

For my card today I used Rise and Shine - love the bunny with his umbrella!

How many CutUps can you count there?  Well let's see, there is the fishtail banner and arc from the new Framed Up 2 CutUps, and the heart from Talk to Me CutUps, and then my two favorite border CutUps dies, Grass and Cloud Border - love them all!
