Caring Thoughts . . .

Hello out there!! Can't believe it's Wednesday already - time is flying folks! I've noticed lately that I am need of more "thinking of you" type cards, so I'm on a mission to fill that hole.  One great set to do that with is Simply Sentiments from Mint Motif, only available at i {heart} papers.  If I've counted correctly there are 16 sentiments in this set, with almost any need covered.  I love that the sentiments are a bit different than the standard "thinking of you"!

I also used Beyond Borders, Too for my card today. The border with the bracket-type image looked to me like it could be a ribbon slide so I gave it a try and found that it looks great!

The paper I used is Be Amazing from the Follow Your Heart line by My Mind's Eye, available at ihp.

Celebrate!

Hello!!I've been having fun playing around with Beyond Borders Too and Simply Sentiments from Mint Motif exclusively at i {heart} papers.  I used the FTL184 from Clean & Simply Stamping for my sketch but as you can see I stamped in the place of dies.

I love these bright, happy colors, a bit of a twist on rainbow colors! :) I made a card using this same stamp for this months Fan Club Gallery at Splitcoaststampers - the look is totally different which shows just how versatile a set like this really is!

This card could be duplicated in so many fun color combinations don't you think?! From cheery, to elegant, masculine to girlie. Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful day!

Brighter Days

Good morning!! Today I have another card that I made brand new Mint Motif stamps available exclusively from i{heart}papers.  The 2 new sets, Simply Sentiments and Beyond Borders Too are definitely essentials!

I used the honeycomb pattern from Beyond Borders Too and embossed it on the yellow cardstock.  I then made the little squares using Very Square (sorry it does not appear to be available - my fault!).  The sentiment is from Simply Sentiments.

It's quite a simple card but I love the colors together and that honeycomb pattern is awesome!!

New Mint Motif Release!

Hello!! It's finally my turn to show you the 2 brand new sets from Mint Motif available exclusively at i {heart} papers!!  These 2 sets designed by Kimberly Crawford will fit in so wonderfully with all your background building and sentiment sets - they really are versatile!

I used the polka dot strip from Beyond Borders Too to make a fun background using Versamark ink on my kraft cardstock and do an emboss resist technique on my chipboard heart.   After it was embossed, I sponged ink on the heart to add the color.

For the main image panel I used 2 different sentiments from Simply Sentiments to make my own version of newsprint except that for the main sentiment I stamped it in colored ink. I love how you can customize this however you like!! And with so many sentiments included in Simply Sentiments, the possibilities are endless!

Good morning!  Keeping with theme of CAS Christmas cards I have one from Mint Motif for you. It's been a while I know, but Kate at i {heart} papers,  has a brand new shipment of Beyond Borders in and seriously this set is just so versatile and so much fun!!  It's also great to pair up with Very Merry Sentiments which is a great collection of classic holiday sentiments!

I stamped my Beyond Borders images down the side of the cardstock and then carefully colored them in with Copic markers for a bolder look.

I used 2 different shapes of Spellbinders Nestabilities (I believe one is Labels Four) for the sentiment panel - they ended up sort of looking like a bow don't you think? The patterned paper is from Echo Park - they have the cutest Christmas papers!

A bit of bling and some ribbon tied behind the sentiment is all that was needed to finish it up!  These would be super easy to mass produce and you could even use different border images from Beyond Borders and different colors/papers to keep from getting board!

Look Who's 2!

Good morning!!  Ever need a quick and easy  birthday card for a child (or adult for that matter)?  I have a solution!  I've Got Your Number from Mint Motif available at i {heart} papers is a great set for any age!! 

I was thinking about baby O turning 2 in October when I made this card!  The colors are so bright and cheery I think this would work for almost any age child - simple change the number! 

The papers are all Echo Park Playground.  I am totally in love with all of Echo Parks lines lately, I'm sure you've noticed me using them a LOT!!  I've gotten them all at i {heart} papers where there is a fabulous collection of the 6x6 pads and the 12x12 kits.  Shipping is super super fast and the service can't be beat!! :)

Here's another birthday card made with the same I've Got Your Number set, but definitely different!  I've made a card similar to this one before but this time I changed up the colors and made it square.  I love paper piecing the large numbers, it definitely gives interest to the card!

This card uses the Picket Fence line from LilyBee Design - so pretty!  Both cards also use Spellbinders Circle dies and Scalloped Circle dies.  The card above also uses some rhinestones from Zva Creative.  I simple colored them with a Copic marker so that they would match the light purple dp!  Quick and easy!!

Pucker Up!

Good morning and Happy Friday! We've been having some beautiful weather here and we're so thankful for it!  I have a quick, fun little card for you to today using Beyond Borders from Mint Motif at i {heart} papers.  I was looking at all the fun border stamps and this one just caught my eye and reminded me of lemons and limes so I went with it.

So as you can see I stamped the border twice onto X-Press Cardstock (which is so awesome for using with Copics) once in green and once in yellow and then colored them with Copic markers.  I then found a lemon shape online and printed it on yellow textured cardstock adding some shading with Copics.  All that was left was to cut it out and add it with some foam adhesive to the card - easy peasy! :)  I added 2 lime rhinestones to the top corner to balance out the sentiment (which is from Papertrey Ink).

Birthday Buttons

Good afternoon!  Seems like I get later and later every day this week - ha!  Well today I have another quick CAS card - this time using FTL#141.

I pulled out What a Card from Mint Motif at i {heart} papers and began seeing the lone strip of poker chips as buttons so I decided to give it a try!  What do you think? Buttons right?

I decided on colors from the Dutch Mustard Soup pad by Jillibean Soup.  I stamped the "buttons" on X-Press Copic Cardstock which I really love for it's great blendability!!  After coloring the buttons I punched holes in them and tied on the twine.  I love this simple layout and in case you were wondering my card measures 5" x 3.5" - perfect for smaller scale designs.

I tried a few things in the place of the circle accent but most just overpowered the card so I ended up going with a Scalloped Circle Nestabilities die cut layered with two color coordinated buttons.

With Love

Hello!!  I'm so happy that Blogger is back, aren't you?! :)  I have another pretty quick card to share with you today.  Have you seen the most recent challenge over the Moxie Fab World?  Following-up on the Moxie Fab column in the May/June issue of Paper Crafts Magazine, Cath has challenged us all to use chevrons - you know, a zig zag stripe!   Well, I just happen to have the perfect stamp so I couldn't resist!

Beyond Borders from Mint Motif at i {heart} papers has a great chevron stamp included and I love it because, like all the stamps in that set, it is long enough to stamp the entire front of a card.  I stamped the chevron using Fresh Snow ink and then used a little heart from Sweet Hearts.  I bet you have a lot of little stamps that would look great stamped in those "valleys" of a chevron! :)

The card measures 5" x 3.5".  The red circle, die cut with Circle Nestabilities, was stamped using one of the images in Very Square and I wanted to have a little doily behind it but I only have a bigger size doily die.  However, I discovered that I could cut it with a big scalloped Nestie and it still shows some of the pretty doily detail!  The sentiment is from Very Square Sentiments.

Class of . . . in Print!

Have you all gotten your copy of the May/June issue of Paper Crafts Magazine yet?  I had a chance today to really sit and read it cover to cover and it's a great one!  Of course I could be a bit biased since I have 2 cards in this issue - hee hee! 

One of my cards even made the Table of Contents and was used an inspiration for a specially commissioned masculine card!  Fun!! :)  This is the other card I have in the issue.  It was made using I've Got Your Number from Mint Motif at i {heart} papers.

Quite a Pair

Running a bit late this morning . . . which means I'll be running the rest of the day too - LOL! That's ok! I have a fun little number today (lol!) made using some of my new Echo Park papers and Mint Motif stamps from i {heart} papers.  I recently took a trip to a little antique "mall" of sorts in the next town over.  There was a whole basket of vintage playing cards and I was so intrigued by them.  Some of the pictures looked so neat it was shame to leave them just sitting there - especially when they were only $.50 a deck!  I have some projects I hope to try out with them soon but today I thought it would be fun to combine one of the cool cards with What a Card and I've Got Your Number from Mint Motif!

Isn't that Beach Club card just fun?!  The 2 top papers are from Echo Park's Playground line - love it!  The blue one (with the "waves" is from American Crafts).

The Blue Silk ribbon is also from i {heart} papers - I just scrunched it up with some water and then gave it a few squirts of Glimmer Mist to give a bit of depth. The little bling swirl is from Zva Creative - just gives a fun, sparkly touch!
