In My Thoughts - March TCP Tuesday!
Welcome to a brand new TCP Tuesday challenge from The Cat's Pajamas !! If you haven't already, check out this thread to see who the February Swanky Stamper is - her card is amazing!! Just a reminder that TCP Tuesdays now last all month so you have plenty of time to play and submit multiple entries. Everything you need to know is in the Member Company forum thread at SCS and Alma's blog.
The challenge this is a Color/Supply challenge. Alma's challenged us to make a card using White/Cream/Kraft/black plus one color, you may only have two layers, the base is not a layer and you can only use 1 patterned paper. How's that for a challenge?! I love it - it may take a bit of thinking, but challenges are meant to stretch us, help us think in ways we don't normally think - it's great!! Now, having said that I'll say, that my brain was stuck - lol! I did end up liking this card, but I had something a little different in mind at the beginning. :)
I used Bear Hugs, such a sweet image, and as you can see I didn't add very much color but I did paper piece the heart. I made for someone who is sick, but it's a male, so I didn't want to make it too girly, you know? I'm hoping the touch of red/pink isn't too much.
The sentiment I used is from Simply Said and I masked off the bear and stamped it repeated down the center to sort of ground the bear, give him an "area."
That's it from me today. If you go to Alma's blog she'll give you a list of who is posting today, and don't forget to stop by and chat with us on the TCP Member Company Forum at SCS! Have a great day! :)
