Iris for Mother
It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday and I have another card made with brand new KSS stamps today! Everyone knows that KSS does gorgeous flowers, now here's another to add to your collection. Multi-Step Iris is just stunning! Wait until you see - and you can make them in 2 sizes!
This is the large size and I went totally traditional on the color - purple. But I cannot wait to try some of the other gorgeous colors irises come in.
My color recipe was pretty simple:
Step 4 - (Imperial Purple) Versafine, Step 3 - (Grape Jelly) Memento, Step 2 - (Grape Jelly stamped off), Step 1 - (Lulu Lavender) Memento
Look at the detail of that iris - couldn't you swear it was a photo? Amazing!! Since the flower is a nice big size I left the card pretty simple, but I did sponge some yellow ink around the edge for some definition and contrast. The dp is some beautiful new Webster's Pages paper I picked up at i {heart} papers last week - and it's 6x6"!
Please be sure to visit the rest of the Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew today and if you're shopping don't forget to use coupon code JULIE10KSS for 10% off! Have a wonderful Monday!
