Sea You!! TCP Tuesday 199
Good morning! This week's TCP Tuesday challenge Hostess with the Mostest is Susan which means a stamp/die challenge. In anticipation of Spring, we're headed for the Great Outdoors!! Susan wants us to use any of The Cat's Pajamas stamps that doing something outside along with the Cloud Border CutUps die. Now, I just have to say that you really need to visit ALL of the Cat Pack members this week - their cards for this challenge are nothing short of spectacular!
I pulled out a set that I just love, A Whale of a Time from The Cat's Pajamas of course. Something about this adorable whale just gets me! I went somewhat CAS for this card but I pieced the whale using a map of the Maine coast that I picked up at a thrift store last year. I have a person in mind for this card so as you can see I stamped the whale right over Castine which is where Maine Maritime Academy is located, the recipients alma mater!
I used the Cloud Border CutUps die to first emboss my clouds (I love doing that!) and then cut one out for the sentiment which is popped up.
And here's a close-up of the cute whale, complete with striped red hat and rhinestone eye. You'll notice I also used the Wave CutUps die also and some Blueberry Divine Twine - Yum!!
Head over to Alma's blog for all the details on TCP Tuesday and to leave your link for this week's Cat Cash prize! You'll also want to check out the March Project of the Month and see who won the March Swanky Stamper title - I can't wait to see myself!! :)
This card is so beautiful! Love the fun design and the map paper-pieced whale! This would have been perfect for Paper Crafts' submission calls for projects using maps!
