Irish Tea
Happy Monday morning!! It's almost St. Patrick's Day and I was inspired this weekend to make a fun Irish-inspired card. I pulled out my Mutli-Step Shamrocks & Clovers set from Kitchen Sink Stamps and thought I'd try a teacup card.
A quick search led me to THIS teacup card template on Splitcoaststampers by Mel. You simply print the template, cut it out, trace it onto your folded cardbase and cut it out! Thanks Mel! :)
I was inspired by the look of Belleek china, you know that pretty, creamy Irish china with the shamrocks on it? Hhhm, I think I may need to add some of those pretty pieces to my collection since I've learned that I do indeed have Irish ancestors! :) Anyway, here is my card.
As you can see, it's not exactly like Belleek, but I think you tell where my inspiration came from. Interestingly enough, I looked up exactly what a shamrock was (vs. a clover). A shamrock is a three-leafed white clover and the traditional Irish symbol (that St. Patrick was famed to use as a metaphor of the Trinity).
I used both shamrocks and 4-leaf clovers here. The ink recipe was:
Step 3 - Wild Wasabi) SU!, Step 2 - (Bamboo Leaves) Memento, Step 1 - (Bamboo Leaves stamped off) Memento
I stamped the sentiment, from Ready 4 Any Holiday, also from Kitchen Sink Stamps, on the inside, embossed in gold.
Make sure to visit the other KSS Crew members, and have a wonderful day!
