Stamp It! 3 Ways Blog Hop!

Good morning!! I am so excited about today's post! If you've been following along all week at Paper Crafts Connection (which is the blog for Paper Crafts Magazine) you know that they have been promoting their newest special issue, Stamp It! 3 Ways.

I was so thrilled and excited to be asked to participate in this issue (and incidentally was paired up with THE best designers - so neat!!).  Paper Crafts made up teams of 3 designers, gave them each the same stamp set and then asked us to show you how 1 set can be used in unique and interesting ways!  The issue will really give you great ideas to get the most out of your stamps!

Today, Paper Crafts is hosting a fun Blog Hop featuring some of the designers. They asked us to create a new project using our stamp set from the issue!  Even better, YOU have a chance to WIN a copy of this issue and also a prize package from Paper Crafts Magazine of every stamp set used in the issue!!!

I was given a wonderful set, All Aboard, from Technique Tuesday (if you have the issue it's on pages 82-83). The images in this set are so great for masculine cards as well as great vintage-type cards!  I used the bicycle image to make a vintage-y card that could be used as a going away card or even a birthday card!

I cased Betsy Veldman's idea from the issue of stamping-off the "Journey" sentiment multiple times which gives the panel more dimension. I also added a bit of shading to the image using Copic markers. And isn't it fun that my vintage newsprint paper in the background even has a bicycle on it?!

To win your own copy of this issue, leave a comment on this post telling me what is your favorite stamp style - are you shabby chic, clean and simple, whimsical? how would you classify yourself?!  You have until Sunday, January 29th at midnight (EST) to comment for your chance to win!  For more chances and to see more beautiful cards, visit each of the designers listed here:

·         Jaclyn Miller
·         Julie Masse (you're here!)
·         Laura Williams
·         Heidi Van Laar
·         Emily Leiphart
·         Mariana Grigsby
·         Julia Stainton
·         Sarah Moerman
·         Karen Baker

·         Kelley Eubanks
·         Kimberly Crawford

To win the grand prize, all the stamps from the issue (picture below), head over to the Paper Crafts Connection!  Thanks for visiting today!! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Your card is beautiful! I used a word-y paper for background on a recent birthday card for my bil and was thrilled that the words showing were words that described him--pure serendipity on that one. Thanks for sharing your card and thanks for a chance to win.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I wish I could figure out my style. It is so mixed up but I don't think the style is as important as the card itself. I like your card and the dimension created by stamping off is great.

  75. I love how your individual items tie together on this beautiful card - like the bike stamp and the bike on the paper. I find it hard to define my style, maybe that's because I am still "in development" lol, but I guess I am kind of 'artsy' because I love getting messy with inks/mists/gesso etc.
Fantastic prizes, thanks so much for the opportunity!
