Nurture
Continuing what I started yesterday, I have another card that qualifies for a few of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges over on Splitcoaststampers this week. I was catching up on my Google Reader when I saw the new releases from Flourishes and got inspired to pull out my pretty Flourishes stamps! I used From My Garden for this card which qualifies for:
DTGD10tayloredexpressions - sketch
DTGD10AmberDawn01 - texture (the twill tape)
DTGD10DeborahLynneS - paper piecing (the gloves)
DTGD10debdeb - stitchingOk, so most of them are obvious right? You can see the sketch, the paper piecing, the stitching, the texture with the twill tape and the gardening theme. The patterned paper - well I hope I'm ok on that one. I used 2 patterns from October Afternoon, but the 3rd piece is a copy of an old wild flower text book that I have. It came from my great-uncle's library and I can't bear to cut it up so I just scanned one of the pages and printed it out. That counts as patterned paper right?
We were working out in our yard yesterday and hopefully will be today also - trying to "take back" some of our yard that is being swallowed up by the woods and weed growth - ha ha! We built a fire pit last night and the children had so much fun toasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the fire! The joys of summer . . . I hope you are enjoying them too! :)
Cardstock: Simply Chartreuse (Papertrey Ink), Baja Breeze (SU!), Ivory (Flourishes), Patterned Paper: Fly a Kite (October Afternoon), Stamps: From My Garden (Flourishes), Ink: Memento, Accessories: Copic markers, Vintage Button, Twine, Ric Rac die (Papertrey Ink), Nestabilities, foam adhesive, Twill Tape (SU!)
