New KSS Stamps and Challenge

Happy Monday!  It's a full day here with a Kitchen Sink Stamps release and a new Crew Challenge!  First up, release news . . . there are 4 brand new sets in the Kitchen today and you my friends, get first dibs!  The actual release isn't until tomorrow but Maria lets our lovely blog readers have a little treat and shop today.

Today only you get a 15% discount when you shop early!!  ETA:  Sorry for the confusion with the links and codes today!! Sometimes technology is not our friend! :)  BUT, Maria has extended the 15% special until Tuesday at midnight so you still have a chance to take advantage.  Simple go to Kitchen Sink Stamps, shop around and when you check-out add JULIE15KSS in the coupon code spot.  Happy shopping!

The 4 new sets are:

Multi-Step Lilacs (large set)
Multi-Step Little Lambs (small set - companion set to Multi-Step Kittens & Puppy and Multi-Step Ducks & Pigs)
Multi-Step Lucky Horsehoes (mini set)
Multi-Step Shamrock & Clover (mini set)

Since it's the beginning of a new month it's also time for a new KSS Crew Challenge and this month it's from Connie!  You can check out all the details on the KSS blog, but the challenge is to use masking.  Masking with KSS is always so much fun - especially when you can create lovely bouquets of flowers!  My card incorporates traditional masking and also reverse masking.

I used the new set Multi-Step Lilacs for me card and this is the largest lilac in the set stamped as follows:  FLOWER: Step 4 - Vintage Violet (SU!), Step 3 - Lavender Lace (SU!), Step 2 - Lulu Lavender (Memento), Step 1 - Angel Pink (Memento).  LEAVES: Step 3 - Garden Green, Step 2 - Bamboo Leaves, Step 1 - New Sprout (Memento).

After I stamped the lilac, I masked it off and then used a reverse mask - I cut an oval using Nestabilities in some scrap paper - and sponged the oval using Almost Amethyst ink.  The sentiment is from Words of Comfort & Joy from KSS.  The card is fairly simple and measures 6" x 4".

Please visit the rest of the KSS Crew today to view their gorgeous work!!  Remember to check out the new stamps and don't forget the code!!  JULIE15KSS
