New KSS Challenge
Good morning and Happy Labor Day! It seems like we just celebrated Memorial Day doesn't it? Goodness, do the summers fly by faster and faster! Thankfully we've had some gorgeous weather here and it looks like it will continue for a bit more! I'm so excited this week because Friday I'll be heading off to Stamping Around VT for a weekend of stamping fun with lots of friends!!
Today we have a new Kitchen Sink Stamps Crew Challenge for you - Makiko gave us a Back To School Challenge. We were to use a school supply on our project or to alter a school supply item. I chose to alter an item. We started school last week so this was a very timely challenge. I started using this small (8.5" x 4") notebook to record our prayer requests for school this year but it needed a spiffier cover!
I pulled out 1/2 Pint Alphabet Buddy, Mix It Up! Monogram & Alphabet, and Playful Ovals (which unfortunately is retired) to make up a quick, fun, school themed cover. I love the bright colors and it's no secret that 1/2 Pint Alphabet Buddy is one of my all time favorite alphabet sets! I love the scale and the bold look of them! As a little something extra I decided to add the giant paperclip. These are usually used to alter, make bookmarks, etc. . . but I thought in this case it made the perfect embellishment.
