CAS Friday

Good morning all! Quick post today - we have a beautiful day and much to do!

I decided to play with Clean & Simple FTL53. This one is a very simple, no layer layout and since I didn't have any one stamp big enough to fill the half-circle space I used this single flower stamp from Rubber Soul's Life Affirming clear set to make the design. I love these wonderful Wordsworth sets with beautiful quotes and coordinating images!

I did 2 slightly different designs - one using the scalloped circle Nestabilities to emboss an outline and lighter colored flowers and the other just using a light pencil line as my guide for the circle and darker colors.

When I finished by stamping the sentiment it was difficult to just leave it at that - where to put the ribbon, the brads, the embellies I love so much?? Nope, clean & simple means leave it alone! :) I did however add a few adhesive rhinestones for a teeny, tiny bit of shine.

These were super quick to whip up, now which do I like better??? Have a great day everyone!

Cardstock: White (Papertrey Ink), Stamps: Life Affirming (Rubber Soul), Ink: Summer Sunrise (Papertrey Ink), Rhubarb Stalk (Memento), Rose Red stamped off (SU!), Lemon Tart, Sweet Blush, Aqua Mist (Papertrey Ink), Black (Memento), Accessories: Adhesive rhinestones, Nestabilities

  3. What a cool idea! I tend to forgot about using my nestabilities for just embossing. The effect is stunning!
