KSS Day - Silver & Gold
Today is the first KSS Crew Challenge Day! Twice a month the entire KSS Crew will tackle a challenge issued by one of the Crew. This week we got our challenge from our fearless leader, Maria! She challenged us to use Silver or Gold - fun!! So many possibilities. . .
For my card I decided to make a poinsettia wreath using 3 Step Poinsettia - it took a bit of work, but after I established a pattern it went quickly! Just to make sure it became a wreath and not an egg (LOL!) I used a circle Nestabilities draw a light pencil circle as a guide for my stamping. Once I had all my poinsettias and leaves stamped I did a few more on a scrap of paper, cut them out and popped them up with Dimensionals.
Now for the gold! I used Gold embossing powder to stamp my sentiment in the center of the wreath and stamped a gold bow using a stamp from 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe. I added some golden brads to the corners and backed the center image on gold paper. No ribbon? I couldn't believe it, but everytime I tried to add any other embellishments they just didn't work - sometimes less really is more!! :)
Be sure to check out what the rest of the Crew came up with for their challenge - I can't wait to see!!
