Dancin' With Dee!
There's a HUGE party going on over at Sharon Johnson's blog No Time To Stamp!! She's having a 1 year anniversary of her blog and giving away tons of blog candy! She kicked off her week long celebration by issuing a challenge - Dancin' With Dee in honor of my fellow Kitchen Crew member Dee Jackson who is on her Stamp Simply Challenge team. Dee's cards and creations are always a treat, always beautiful and always colorful! I love visiting her blog for lots of inspiration!
So I wanted to play along with the challenge in honor of Dee. I pulled out my 3 Step Get Well Teddy set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. This is the last of the August releases - sorry it took me so long to get to this one because it is such a wonderful set with an adorable 3 step teddy bear!! I love all the great get well sentiments too! Today though I want to show you another image included, a carnation. My mother loves carnations! Most times when my dad needs to buy flowers for her he gets carnations. It seemed appropriate then to make them an anniversary card using a single, beautiful carnation. Sorry it's late Mom!! :)
I paired it up with some gorgeous new Scenic Route Sonoma paper and the new Red Riding Hood red from SU! This card is also tall, the finished size is 7x4.
Thanks for visiting today!! Have a great day!
Cardstock: Red Riding Hood, Very Vanilla (SU!), Patterned Paper: Sonoma (Scenic Route), Stamps: 3 Step Get Well Teddy, Ink: Lady Bug Red (Memento), L'Amour Red (Palette), Pearlescent Poppy Brilliance (Tsukineko), Pear Tart (Memento), Kiwi Kiss (SU!), Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon (American Crafts), Corner Rounder punch, Dimensionals (SU!)
