Challenge Cards
Good morning! I just realized that I never shared my cards from last week's Paper Pretties Stamping in Your Jammies release party. We had a great time at the party - lots of people, even new people! The challenges that Charmaine gave us were so much fun! I still need to finish the 6x6 scrapbook page she challenged us to make but here are my 2 cards.
The first challenge was a sketch challenge - I love those, you know that! I made my card a bit bigger than a standard A2 card -I think it's 5x5. I had this great Memory Box Beach collection paper from an old Paper Pretties Card kit and took my color scheme from it. The red and orange ribbon is also from the Boutique (they're out of the red, but there's some beautiful blue/lime and pink/lime combos!). I love this double-sided satin! This was one of the new sets released - Soaking Up the Sun - isn't it adorable!! I love little Sophia and her dog sitting there catching some rays! There are some really cute little stamps in this set- so summery! The sun is from Rainy Day Friend.
Cardstock: Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink), Real Red, Summer Sun (SU!) Memory Box Beach dp, Stamps: Soaking Up the Sun (Paper Pretties), Ink: Palette Noir, Accessories: Dimensionals, Copic Markers, Ribbon (May Arts), paper piercer, Spica pens
The next challenge was a color challenge, but with a twist. The challenge was to use your high school colors on a card! Doesn't that sound fun?! It was interesting to hear people's thought process when they had really bad colors to work with - lol! But I promise you I didn't see a bad card made - they were all super!! My high school colors were blue & gold - yuck! What can I do with that?? All I could think of was a cheerleader . . so I took Off to School Sophia, the other new set released, masked off her lunchbox, made some quick little pom poms with embroidery floss and viola!! A "cheery" card!! :)
Cardstock: Summer Sun (SU!), Blue (Bazzill), dp is Close to My Heart, Stamps: Off to School (Paper Pretties), Itty Bitty Alphabet (Papertrey Ink), Ink: Palette Noir, Accessories: Circle Punches, Scalloped Circle Punch (SU!), Dimensionals, Embroidery floss (DMC), Copic Markers, Ribbon (SU!)
Don't forget to check out the Ribbon Slide Product Review and the products on sale in the Boutique!! Thanks for stopping in - we're off to the lake today, trying to beat the heat!! Have a great day! :)
