FS45 Tags

What a day! We are experiencing quite a blizzard today here in Maine. Our church cancelled the worship services so we had a nice quiet day at home. I even got to stamp today - yea!! I made a couple of tags for today's Featured Stamper challenge on SCS. When I saw these tags in lzappa's gallery I thought they were so neat - nice and big and something different!

So inspired by lzappa's great tags, here's what I came up with. First I set about to use Snowbunnybella from my December Paper Pretties card package (I don't actually have the whole package yet but I got the stamp and couldn't wait to use her!!). The stamp was actually the idea of Christie and she is soooo popular!! I have seen TONS of cute Snowbunnybella cards lately!

Cardstock: Soft Sky, WW, Shimmery White, Taken with Teal, Heidi Grace Frost Boulevard DP
Stamps: Snowbunnybella
Inks: Brilliance Black
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Nestabilities, Snowflake from Target, White Organdy, Blue Bayou ribbon

The DP is in the Suggested Add-ons for December, it's Heidi Grace Frost Boulevard and is so pretty with all the snowflakes. Plus, it's double-sided so I used the plaid on the back to paper piece her coat and add to the side of the tag. I used my Nestabilities Rectangle dies for the main image but with a modification. Since I needed the image to be a bit skinnier, I ran my paper through once with the size tag I wanted for height. Then I moved the paper over and lined up the scallops on the top and bottom and ran it through again to make a skinnier scalloped rectangle - very easy! You can make squares too (until you can buy them - lol!)

This second tag is a little bit shorter and I used my fav Playful Christmas from Kitchen Sink Stamps! I find myself wanting to use this a lot - it's so versatile and fun! The colors are taken from the DP (which you may not actually see!) The Caribbean blue piece is actually the back of a piece of Dazzle Candy Stripe by Paper Salon available from Paper Pretties . . . I took the whole color scheme from it. I put it through my Cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder and then lightly rubbed across the raised areas with white ink. For the white layer I again used my Nestabilities rectangles, made it skinnier as about and then cut off the ends. The trees are stamped, cut out and added with dimensionals. The "to" and "from" are also part of the Playful Christmas set and I love they way they look stamped right on the trees!

Cardstock: Certainly Celery, WW, Paper Salon Dazzling Candy Stripe
Stamps: Playful Christmas
Accessories: Celery 5/8 and 3/8 grosgrain, Rose grosgrain, Caribbean grosgrain, Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder, Nestabilities, Dimensionals

Thanks for visiting! I hope you all are staying warm and cozy - as we are in this cold, wintery weather! :)
