Skipping Stones Design Blog Hop!

I used 2 different SSD sets for my page today.  My oldest had a slumber party a few weeks ago for her 9th birthday so Chick Chat was perfect!!  I also paired it up with Pumpkin Seed Sentiments - I just love how it perfectly matched the patterned paper I chose to use (which is Echo Park's Summertime collection that I bought from i {heart} papers)!!

Here's a detail show of the pennant.  I stamped each one in a different color with one of the images from Pumpkin Seed Sentiments.

Fun Mail

I got this absolutely adorable card in the mail Saturday from Charmaine over at Oodabug Alley. Isn't it so cute? Charmaine is just one of the nicest people out there and very, very talented! I love the coloring she did on this way card and all the background stamping & cuttlebugging - it's just so happy & fun! We have been trying to encourage each other's stamping endeavors and I just KNOW that big things are going come to Charmaine soon (not to mention a new baby soon!!) - she is just so talented! Her cards are always bright and cheery. Thanks so much Charmaine! You made me smile!!

I wanted to give you a peek at one of the cards we made at my workshop on Friday night. This cute tent topper card uses the SU! set Give Thanks and the Apple Cider DPs from the Holiday Mini. (The picture is blurry because I didn't have enough natural light today and didn't feel like getting out my tripod!) I don't know if you can tell but the background of the card was stamped with the Linen background stamp. I colored it using Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I also used my Crop-a-dile to make little dry embossed corners around the main image. It was a fun class - thanks again Trena for having me!!

Here also is the 6x6 scrapbook page I demo'd for them. The layout was taken from the SU! catalog (don't remember which page now) and it's very simple, but I didn't want much to take away from my cute "pumpkins" in the pumpkin patch! (this was from last year).

Scrapbook pages

I thought I'd show you some scrapbook pages that I had done a while ago in 2 different ways. First of all, I think the layout was case'd (perhaps from SU!) but I can't remember or find where I saw it, so . . . I just wanted to be clear that this was most likely not my original idea. :)

Ok, first here are the pages I created in my family album . These pictures were from last Easter and I loved the colors of the Spring Showers and Spring Flowers paper.

Then, about 3 months ago I was in a 6x6 swap and recreated these pages in a smaller size, you'll just have to image the pictures there.

So, I guess my thought process was, if you find a layout you like it's quite easy to make it work in any size, change a few things, take something out or add something.

Oh, and PS - I did make the children's Easter outfits too! Smocking and sewing are another hobby I enjoy, just not very often. :) Have a great night!
