Quick Thank You's
Good morning! What a busy week! And it's not slowing down at all - both Paper Pretties (on Nov. 1 - check out some of the Prettie's Girls blogs for sneak peeks) and Kitchen Sink Stamps have releases coming up. KSS will be releasing 2 new holiday sets on Tuesday, November 4 - sneak peeks start today on Maria's blog and as always she has chances to win both sets!! I'll have some peeks myself soon but until then here are a couple KSS cards I made last night.
I just loved the sketch challenge on SCS this week! For this first card, I started with the sketch challenge bu veered just a bit when the bottom 2 squares just weren't working out. The stamp I used here is one from the Limited Addition Anniversary set - A Year of Thanks. I love having so many great "thank you" images for making seasonal thank you cards (plus the hummingbird set included is so pretty!!). It's hard to see in the photo but I just added a few vintage buttons from my button tin to add to the vintage feel of the Webster's Pages paper.
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Patterned Paper: Webster's Pages, Stamps: Limited Addition 1 Year Anniversary Set - A Year of Thanks (Kitchen Sink Stamps), Ink: Rich Cocoa, Potter's Clay (Memento), Accessories: Dark Chocolate ribbon (Papertrey Ink), buttons, Nesetabilities, Aquapainter
I decided to try again with the sketch and this time used 3 Step School Days and some fun October Afternoon paper. The beauty of this sketch is that you really don't need a lot to make it work. I simply changed the squares to circles, added a bit of ribbon and a tiny row of paper piercing. Anyone else just loving Kiwi Kiss?? It's one of the new In Color colors from SU! and I find that it is the perfect shade with so many patterned papers!
Cardstock: Kiwi Kiss, Very Vanilla (SU!), Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink), Patterned Paper: October Afternoon, Stamps: 3 Step School Days (Kitchen Sink Stamps), Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive (SU!), Rich Cocoa (Memento), Accessories: Nestabilities, Ribbon (SU! & May Arts), paper piercer
Be sure to check out Maria's blog for your chance to win and have a great day!
