2 Card Friday! :)

Happy Friday! My day yesterday was so crazy I didn't have a chance to post anything new so today you get 2 cards! :)

First, I used my new 3 Step Honey Bunny set from Kitchen Sink Stamps to create this simple card. Do you think it's too plain? I really am loving the simple, uncomplicated designs lately but I wonder what you all think? One of my favorite flowers ever is the Gerber Daisy so I was so excited to see a 3 step gerber image as part of this new set! It comes out so pretty! With the 3 step flowers I always need to practice several times to get a sense of how the images line up, but once you do a few it's a piece of cake! This flower would be so pretty in so many colors!!

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Shimmery White, Dp is from Charlotte Collection (Scenic Route), Stamps: 3 Step Honey Bunny, 3 Step Hey Chick! (sentiment), Inks: Cameo Coral (stamped off), Regal Rose, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Accessories: Brown organdy

Next, here's another peek at the new Paper Pretties sets being released on Sunday, March 9 at 8 pm EST as part of the Pretties' Pajama Party. The Pajama Party is sort of a virtual stamping night with your girlfriends. Come on over to the Forum and check in out - there will be prizes and of course, you can see the new stamps!

This card again uses the 2 new sets, Flutterby and Sassy Circles. I used the image of the polka dots to create my card base - it was so easy to line up the dots and create the look of patterned paper! I used some retired SU! dp to paper piece Sophia's dress, then I colored the flower with a white gel pen and then colored the center yellow. After I added the white prima flower I used a Bella Bauble for the center but colored it with the same yellow Copic so that it would match Sophia's flower.

Cardstock: Papertrey Stampers Select, Pretty in Pink, dp is SU! (retired), Stamps: Sassy Circles, Flutterby, Inks: Palette Noir, Accessories: SU ribbon (retired), Prima, Bella Bauble, White gel pen, Spica pens, Copic markers, Corner Rounder punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for coming to visit! Hope you have a great weekend and maybe I'll "see" you Sunday night at the Pajama Party! :)

  10. Great cards, both. I love the depth you get with that three step flower. Now...your blog makeover is outstanding!!! I am so impressed, and yes, a bit jealous. Even if I had someone to design for me, I would have no idea what I'd want. This is entirely gorgeous.

  12. Julie, I honestly thought those daisies were some new assessories you had picked up. Jana and I are having a very hard time resisting those 3-step stamps.

  14. I love your cards! The daisy card is definitely not too plain! At first glance, I thought the daisies were stickers as I have seen similar ones at Michael's. Your Flutterby card is also sooo sweet! Love the colours and the polka dots!
