Hello again! Thank you to all you wonderful The Greeting Farm fans for the warm welcome earlier this week! You all have been so sweet! And haven't there been some amazon peeks so far? Wowzers! Today is no exception, today we are taking a look at Awareness Anya! First, remember to visit The Greeting Farm's blog to get information on how to win today's set. Also, remember these adorable new sets will all be available on January 1, 2013 - great way to start the New Year!!
Now, for the cards! This first one was a little idea I had to line up a bunch of sweet Anyas and have them all in different colors with different ribbons. I could only fit 3 on the card but I still think it's fun! I even made them different skin tones, hair, etc. It was a lot of coloring! :). The sentiment was done on my computer. Oh and in case you wondered the pink is of course for Breast Cancer, the red is for Heart Disease and the Teal is for Ovarian Cancer - 3 big issues for us women!
The next card is another red ribbon card for Heart Disease awareness, which is traditionally highlighted the month of February. Did you know 1 in 4 women die of heart disease (while only 1 in 20 die of breast cancer?! We need to be aware of our risk factors and make sure the women in our lives do too!
But the card, the card! :). It's pretty simple and straightforward really. I colored her, cut her out and added her to a simple black and red layout. I do think I'm a bit obsessed with the glitter for these girls! Totally fun!!

Ok, time to visit these other talented ladies and remember to visit the TGF's blog, this would be a sweet prize! Thanks again for visiting and for your kind words! Have a great day!

Beautiful cards. Love the idea of combining the three causes so close to hearts of women.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful cards! I love how you highlighted 3 different conditions that women need to be aware of, well done!

ReplyDeletewow... this stamp is so transferable... love it! every one of your Anya's mean something to my family - love that stamp!
ReplyDeleteHi Julie, I have to say that I can not pick which of your cards I like more. I really love the idea of all three girls in a row. You did such a fantastic job with that and I have to say I didn't know that there were so many different colors or reasons. I think we all tend to know breast cancer the most. I also have to tell you that I love your heart disease card very very much. My Dad had a heart attack in March of 2000 and I am very happy to say that it changed his life and he is now a none smoker. He was very lucky and very smart to take the warning that was given to him. :O) I am so going to make him a card like yours and send it to him come February. lol.... I think your coloring is over the top awesome as well. Thanks for sharing. I really do love blog hops. You get to meet new people and I get so many new ideas from it as well. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Lisa G
ReplyDeleteWonderful colouring! So thoughtful cards - thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful card. I especially like the first one. I think it's a great idea to use 3 Anyas in a line. :) Hugs! xx
ReplyDeleteGreat cards! You are so right about heart disease. Many people forget that it kills more women than breast cancer and seems to get less "awareness". Thanks for sharing
