Stamp It! 3 Ways Blog Hop!
Good morning!! I am so excited about today's post! If you've been following along all week at Paper Crafts Connection (which is the blog for Paper Crafts Magazine) you know that they have been promoting their newest special issue, Stamp It! 3 Ways.
Today, Paper Crafts is hosting a fun Blog Hop featuring some of the designers. They asked us to create a new project using our stamp set from the issue! Even better, YOU have a chance to WIN a copy of this issue and also a prize package from Paper Crafts Magazine of every stamp set used in the issue!!!
I was given a wonderful set, All Aboard, from Technique Tuesday (if you have the issue it's on pages 82-83). The images in this set are so great for masculine cards as well as great vintage-type cards! I used the bicycle image to make a vintage-y card that could be used as a going away card or even a birthday card!
I cased Betsy Veldman's idea from the issue of stamping-off the "Journey" sentiment multiple times which gives the panel more dimension. I also added a bit of shading to the image using Copic markers. And isn't it fun that my vintage newsprint paper in the background even has a bicycle on it?!
To win your own copy of this issue, leave a comment on this post telling me what is your favorite stamp style - are you shabby chic, clean and simple, whimsical? how would you classify yourself?! You have until Sunday, January 29th at midnight (EST) to comment for your chance to win! For more chances and to see more beautiful cards, visit each of the designers listed here:

Fabulous - love that bike
ReplyDeleteAdorable card - great vintage feel & lovely papers.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful card Julie. I love the colors, and that stamp is so nice....the card is so versatile, it could be for male or female. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy style is mixed. I like shabby chic, vintage and clean and simple; but am definitely not good with whimsical! Thanks for the chance to win this issue!
ReplyDeleteI think my style is clean and simple.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful vintage card!
Thanks a lot for the chance to win!
Lovely vintage card.
ReplyDeleteShabby chic/vintage are really more my style, but I love the look of a clean, simple card and want to try for that look! However, I do love this card just the way it is!!!!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card! I think I lean towards the vintage look. I have a hard time with clean and simple. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteright now i am uninspired and hopefully between styles. i am tired of doing what i was doing, so i am going to try some new things.
ReplyDeleteLove your card...I am more of a clean and simple stamper. When I try to go out of my comfort zone it tends to look messy.
ReplyDeleteLove it! So darling! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love your card. I don't know that I have one style I love Shabby Chic, I love romantic styles, I love classy styles, I love flourishes and whimsical and I love monochromatic stamping styles. I have been stamping for over 35 years and love it all!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win and for all the wonderful inspiration!!
I love how you stamped off 'journey'. I go back and forth between shabby chic/vintagey and CAS. Wow...that's a LOT of stamps!
ReplyDeleteGreat card- love the classic color combo. My style is more shabby chic, but it does depend on who the card is for...want to match to wha they love. But i love the faded papers and muted colors and all the ephemera
ReplyDeleteLove the vintage look of your card! My favorite style is shabby chic, but I dabble with all types of styles. Thanks for the chance to win!

ReplyDeleteSuper card, Julie. I do simple cards myself, but love love to look at all the added "stuff" like ribbons, lace, ephemera. I just haven't figured out how to add foofy "stuff" to my cards! Love your blog.

ReplyDeleteLove the results of "stamping off" technique, and your bicycle card is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI am ambidextrous when it comes to my style. :) I like dabbling in them all, especially aimed to the recipient. I love the depth of color on this card. So stunning.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, the shading works really well :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a clean & simple stamper, maybe because I don't consider myself that experienced!
ReplyDeleteLike the punch the red button adds!
ReplyDeleteMy style ranges from clean & simple to elegant-but-easy. I am awed by the creations with layers, ruffles, jewels, tons of little touches -- but I can't quite pull it off, myself!
Fantastic card, love the colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful design for a beautiful image! Love your card. ;)
ReplyDeleteI love your card! My favorite styles are clean and simple and vintage. Glad to see a fellow Mainer...I am from Augusta, although I now live in northern CA. Hope the winter's not treating you too badly!!
ReplyDeleteI don't have a style, I just make whatever comes to my mind. I love the bicycle stamp!
