Good morning! Another Monday morning and a new week before us. I was able to get a few crafty projects done this weekend and enjoy some family time.The card I made for today's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday is a very clean and simple (CAS) design but that's s pretty much me these days.

I used the 3 Step Hearts & Roses from Kitchen Sink Stamps which has this lovely 3 step heart and some beautiful sentiments. I stamped the hearts directly on the patterned paper pennants that I die cut.

My ink recipe was: Step 3 - (Cherry Cobbler) SU!, Step 2 - (Rhubarb Stalk) Memento, Step 1 (Lady Bug Red) Memento.I stamped the sentiment also from the set using the Cherry Cobbler ink and embellished it with a little jewel.

Such a simple card but I think I may use it for my husband this Valentine's Day.. I love it's feel.Be sure to visit the other KSS Crew Members today and I hope you have a great day!

TGIF my friends!! I had hoped it wouldn't take me this long to post again but it's been a bit crazy lately. We always think that after the holidays things will slow down . . . I don't know about you but that just doesn't happen around here!! Anyway, I finally got my TCP Tuesday card completed. I'll just remind you that Lori is our hostess this week and it's a color challenge. Check out Alma's blog for the details and color swatch.

I couldn't help but use this little cutie again, Warm Fuzzies from The Cat's Pajamas of course. She just makes me smile and is so much fun to color and paper piece!

I used a few "older" CutUps dies on my card too. First, the Flower Button CutUps die - it's almost time for all those Spring blooms so you need this die! :) I also used the Anywhere Ribbon Slide CutUps die and cut through 2 layers of paper with it!

The sketch is Karen Giron's Sweet Sunday Sketch for this week - tweaked a bit to fit my needs! I hope you are playing along with our color challenge this week - you could win Cat Cash and who doesn't want that?! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning! It's TCP Tuesday - time for a new challenge and our Hipster Hostess this week is Lori. She has a yummy Color Challenge so be sure to check out her blog, Alma's blog and the The Cat's Pajamas Forum on Splitcoaststampers for the details and samples.

I haven't had a chance to make my card yet so I thought I'd share a card I made for last week's release. The last set that was previewed got a lot of people excited and is definitely a winning set. Build-A-Bingo was the brainchild of our own fabulous Leigh O'Brien. The set is full of all the sentiments and images you need to make bingo cards for every occasion!

I chose to make a 40th Birthday card. It was easy to highlight the #40 using the little circle stamp and then I added a present in the center square popped up on a button. I even did some sponging!! GASP!! Yea me! hahaha - you probably all know I don't do that much! :)

A few close-ups of the card and the Easy Rosette/Butterfly embellie.

I cut 2 Exotic Butterflies, but the one on the bottom I didn't add an extra shim so that the holes stayed in place - that way you can see them through the patterned paper. I think it makes the butterfly more visible on the patterned paper Easy Rosette.

It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday again, time to start a new week! I am loving the chance to make Valentine's Day cards again and so I pulled out a classic set from KSS, Multi Step Sweet Heart Roses.

I wanted to try something a bit untraditional as far as colors so I pulled out some new paper, Love Struck from We R Memory Keepers and drew my color inspiration from that pad. I love the bright look of the hearts!

Release Day Hop & TCP Tuesday 192

Happy Release Day!! The Cat's Pajamas totally went to town this week and released 7 brand new stamp sets and 4 new CutUps dies at our Release Party last night. You've been seeing the peeks all week and now is your chance to bring them home! You're going to want them ALL!!

It's also TCP Tuesday and since I'm the Hostess with the Mostess this week the hop starts here!! Our Technique/Supply challenge this week is embossing - you can dry emboss, heat emboss or use an embossing folder . . . anything goes!!

I used the brand new set Feelin' Cupidy for my card today. How can you resist a bunny with wings?!! I also used 2 of the new CutUps dies, Queen of Hearts and Heart Rosette. I actually used the Heart Rosette die to emboss right on my cardbase (just do it the same way you emboss when using your Nesties - use your tan embossing mat, then the cardstock, then the die and the top plate, in my case B for my Cuttlebug).

After I embossed part of the die, I used some of the pop out hearts to add back on the embossed area. It's a totally fun way to use your pretty dies! I should also mention that this card is 5" x 3.5" - a fun size!

I also embossed the hilarious sentiment in the bottom corner using some red scented embossing powder - mmmm cinnamon!

Happy Monday! It's great to be starting a new week - hopefully one that will be healthier for our family! It's time to start thinking about the big Lovey holiday which is actually one of my favorite holidays to make cards for! I don't know what it is but Valentine's Day cards, or love cards in general are so much fun to make!

It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday and I pulled out an old set I haven't used in forever, 3 Step Adornments. I also used Clean and Simple Stamping's FTL#172.

This is actually one of those cards that's so much prettier IRL. It's very difficult to photograph, but I die cut a scalloped heart from clear acetate just larger than the red heart and then embossed it for texture.

It really does look neat! The lock and key were stamped as follows: Step 3 - (Black) Versafine, Step 2 - (Going Gray) SU, Step 1 - (Going Gray - stamped off). The sentiment was embossed and is from another KSS set, Words of Love, which is really an awesome set for this time of year! :)

Sneaky Peek Day 6 meets SFYTT

Good morning all! It's a new year for Jen's Sketch For You To Try (SFYTT) challenges and she's off to a great start! Her very first month sponsor is none other than The Cat's Pajamas and since we're in the midst of Sneaky Peek week I used the sketch for today's peek.

Today we're peeking Love Stinks, a fun new set featuring our favorite little penguins.

How cute are they!? The perfect little couple! You've been seeing them all week, but I used 2 of the new CutUps dies being released also, Heart Rosette just adding a while layers behind and the Queen of Hearts die which I used together with the Anywhere Ribbon Slide CutUps. It's so cool how you can add that die in "anywhere"! :)

Here's a closer look at our cute couple. My daughter asked me, "Which one is the boy penguin?" - lol! I'm guessing the one with the practical fish present, you think? I used my new little Shiney Silver Pearls from Pizzazz Aplenty (a fun little shop I found through Julee Tilman's blog).

Welcome to Day 4 of Sneaky Peek Week at The Cat's Pajamas. If you've been following along with the peeks and commenting on the In It To Win It thread on Splitcoaststampers you know that the first 3 days have been very well received! There has been lots of ooohing and aaahing and, well, days 4-7 will not be any different! *heehee*

So let me introduce you to Warm Fuzzies, the latest addition to the OuOu line that we've all come to love so much!

I have to apologize for the horrendous picture . . .my children broke the light for my light box which makes photographing difficult. I'm hoping to retake this in a bit! ETA: Here's the new photo, it seems to be a bit better! Even with the bad pic I hope you can tell how adorable this little cutie is! I used some flocking to keep her scarf nice and fuzzie. I also used half of the new Queen of Hearts CutUps die to surround my Cranberry Seam Binding. This cutie is great paper piecing also, which I did a bit of.

So how did you enjoy The Cat's Pajamas' Sneaky Peek Day 1? Incredible right?? I know you all would love to just have the release today, but we have 6 more sets to show you!! :) Today's set is our ever lovin' bunnykins featured in Feelin' Cupidy.

Remember this card I for the last release at TCP? I really loved the feel of that card so I decided to try it again - slightly different and with different stamps.

Oh he the most adorable thing ever! I changed the layout of the card a bit but still stamped the sentiment down one side. I used the largest heart from the Heart Trio CutUps die for my frame around the "Love" sentiment which I glitterfied!

Sweet!! TCP Sneaky Peek Day 1

Good morning and welcome to the first Sneaky Peek Day of the first release of 2012 at The Cat's Pajamas!! We're super excited about all the new goodies coming - 7 stamp sets and 4 new CutUps dies! It's time to put the Christmas papers and way and think Spring!

But wait there's more - lol! It's also TCP Tuesday and our Hostess With the Mostess Jen has come up with another gorgeous set of inspirational photos for us this week. Check out her post to see all the details. The set we are peeking today is appropriately one conceptualized by Jen also - Gimme Some Sugar has so mamy fun elements!! The peeks you will see today from the other Cat Packers will clearly demonstrate what I mean - so many options for lots of different looks!

I went for the obvious-Valentine-pink-and-red look but using it for a cute sweets box this time. I had this box left over from an event several years ago (I think it is from Jody Morrow but I'm not sure if she still sells them).

I stamped the elements I wanted, did a bit of piecing for the banner and added lots of Glossy Accents for shine. Sprinkle fans get out your wallets, this set is HOT!

How about new CutUps? Do you see maybe one or two?? Goodness gracious Alma has done it again! The sweet heart de-scalloped (ok, yes I just made that up - haha!) border is the new Queen of Hearts CutUps die. It's fab because it gives you 2 different borders which each cut. The other side of the die is a scalloped edge with tiny piercings. And I love, love, love the new Heart Rosette CupUps die!! It makes such a great embellishment or you could use just one of them flat as a layering panel. I made a cute little embellie on a stick using it and the new Peppermint Divine Twine (which is really in the store now if you can't wait!). I love these colors together so so much!

Good Morning friends and Happy New Year to all of you!! We had our last holiday gathering last night, all the presents are given and it's time to get back to school now. There's something comforting about getting back to the routine though isn't there?

I played along with the Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoaststampers yesterday and made a Happy New Year card with Kitchen Sink Stamps. Here is the card I used to case - Lunarlara sure knows how to mix fun patterns for great results!!

I used 3 Step Bells from Kitchen Sink Stamps and just 3 inks, Step 5 - Black, Step 4 - Black (stamped off), Step 3 - Going Gray, Step 2 - Going Gray (stamped off), Step 1 London Fog (stamped off).

TCP Tuesday 190!

Well hello and Happy Wednesday! I decided to take a few days off and celebrate with my family. I think I will take the rest of the week also but I really needed to post this last TCP Tuesday challenge of 2011, especially since it's an awesome sketch from our Hipster Hostess Leigh! Honestly I was a bit intimidated after I saw all the fabulous creations everyone has been making - Cat Packers and players alike (you can check them out by going to the TCP Forum thread or Alma's blog). I just put that all behind me and went for it!

I used one of the newest sets from The Cat's Pajamas, Freezin' Season - super cute!! And really, once I picked my papers and colors it was pretty simple to just use up some scraps of paper and ribbon.

This set is great for any winter occasion with sentiments like this - I'm thinking the big V-day that's right around the corner! :)

Good morning!! It's TCP Tuesday and time for the LAST challenge of the year! That's right, you have one more chance this month to enter for a chance at Cat Cash and our monthly Swanky Stamper award. We'll be taking next week off for the holidays, but you still have until the end of the year to get your entries in!

I am so far behind that today I'm posting my card for last week's challenge. Susan was our Hipster Hostess and we were to use any The Cat's Pajamas's stamps WITH the Big Scallop CutUps die.

I went simple but a bit more elegant for my card (not a style that I usually do well but the papers really helped me here!). I used the J*lly H*liday set from The Cat's Pajamas and embossed it on my Circus Panel CutUps die piece using Iridescent Ice EP. I die cut my green mat using the Big Scallop CutUps, cutting on 3 sides to make a fancy mat! Then I added a piece of snowflake printed acetate over the top and cut it to match. I added a few snowflakes from the Lacy Snowflake CutUps die which I embossed with Iridescent Ice EP also - everything is shiny and sparkly IRL!

Hello!! Anyone else feel like they run around all day and accomplish nothing??? Yup, that's me! :) So sorry for the very late post on this fine Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday!! But since I was late (eeerr, didn't actually make my card until today!) I decided to play along with a past CAS Challenge on SCS - to use twine!

Twine + Kitchen Sink Stamps = {love}!! It's especially fun seeing what CAS cards you can come up with such beautifully detailed stamps! This could even qualify for one of Lynn's amazing 10 Minute Challenges!! ;)

It's pretty self-explanatory. The sentiment was a combination of words from Multi-Step Gift and Multi-Step Berries and the peppermint stick is from Multi-Step Cup of Warm Comfort. I used Step 3 - (Cherry Cobbler) SU!, Step 2 - (Festive Berries) Ranger, Step 1 - (London Fog stamped off) - Memento.

Wouldn't these be cute for little food gifts- maybe even made to tags instead of cards!! Fun!!

It's TCP Tuesday and Susan is the Hostess With the Mostest this week, which means a stamp & die challenge. However, I don't have my card ready quite yet so instead I'm sharing a little project I made for the last The Cat's Pajamas release. This sweet little gift card envie was made using the amazing Gift Card Envie CutUps die - that's right!! One die and boom, you're done! :)

Now this is the front and as you can see I added a little embellishment using the Circus CutUps dies and the J*lly H*liday stamp set that was also just released.

Here's the back - which is really stunning don't you think? I love the sweet scalloped edge to a point. One of the other nice things about the die is that it cuts out the envie and embosses the fold lines in one pass through your machine! Perfect - you could make 10 of these in no time!

I thought it's be neat to hang this on the tree so I tied a bit of Divine Twine and tucked it under the flap, totally easy!

Good Monday Morning!! Sorry to be late again - for some reason my camera battery was dead again (I think it got left on attached to the computer so it didn't turn itself off). So, you get a slightly bad phone photo again -so sorry!!

As I mentioned in my last post, this weekend was VSN at Splitcoaststampers. My challenge was to create a card/project using winter boots somehow - you could use an image with boots in it, create a shaped card, maybe you have a boot die cut ...whatever you have! So I made another sample today with boots. This time I used my Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-Step Cowboy Boots set and paired it up with 3 Step Poinsettias to give them a Christmas touch!

I stamped the pointsettia first using: Step 5 - (Crimson) Versafine, Step 4 - (Cherry Cobbler) SU!, Step 3 - (Barn Door Red) Ranger, Step 2 (Lady Bug Red) Memento, Step 1 (Lady Bug Red).

Then I masked the poinsettia and stamped the boots using: Step 5 - (Soft Suede) SU!, Step 4 - (Rich Cocoa) Memento, Step 3 - (Latte) Adirondack, Step 2 - (Desert Sand 2x) Memento, Step 1 - (Desert Sand) Memento

With the bold striped paper I left the rest of the card pretty plain and I stamped the sentiment on the inside, Merry Christmas y'all! I'll have to send this card to one of my stampy friends in Texas. :)

Morning!! We have a full day today, how about you? Well, just in case you were looking for something to do, TODAY is Virtural Stamping Night (VSN) at Splitcoaststampers. That's right, a full day of challenges every hour and lots of fun! Check out this forum where all the challenges and chat threads will be posted. My challenge will be the very last one of the day - at 11 pm EST, so come join me!!

But right now I have my TCP Tuesday card to share. This week's challenge is an awesome color challenge with Lori being our Hipster Hostess! I went very CAS for my card which would make this an excellent card to use for mass production!

Of course the stamps, dies and twine are all from The Cat's Pajamas. I used 3 sizes of snowflakes, the large one is from J*lly H*liday, and the 2 smaller ones are from Freezin' Season.

For the center panel, I used the largest Circus Panel CutUps die and embossed it on my front layer. I then stamped the "SN*W" from J*lly H*liday on the middle size Circus Panel. A few rhinestones were added for some bling and of course Divine Twine is always appropriate! :)

Good morning!! I should have a card for this week's TCP Tuesday challenge, but I haven't had a chance yet so I thought I'd share a card from the recent The Cat's Pajamas release that I haven't posted yet.

This set is Peeking and features our favorite bear PJ. This set is great because it can be used not only for Christmas but any occasion!

I also used one of the new CutUps dies, Snowflake Lace Paper which is already a favorite!! This die is so pretty and so much fun to use you will definitely love it!!

Good morning!! Sorry I'm a bit late this morning, but my camera battery died last night. I was going to take pictures this morning but now my laptop isn't "recognizing" my camera so I can't upload the photos. Aaaaahhhh, always something!

These pictures are taken with my phone and are pretty bad so I'll replace them in a bit but I need to get this post up! :) It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday and since I had so much fun playing along with the Featured Stamper Challenge last week I decided to try it again this week. This week's Featured Stamper is studbo and I chose this card as my inspiration- I really like the CAS layout!

I used Multi-Step Pine Trees with the following ink:

Step 4 - (Olympia Green) Versafine, Step 3, (Handsome Hunter) SU!, Steps 2 & 1 - Ripe Avocado (PTI)

It's pretty easy to line up this tree if you start with Step 4 and the depth of color is so neat to see in the end!! The sentiment was made with words from the 3 Step Bells set and embossed with red embossing powder (which also smells like cinnamon!).

Good morning! Keeping with theme of CAS Christmas cards I have one from Mint Motif for you. It's been a while I know, but Kate at i {heart} papers, has a brand new shipment of Beyond Borders in and seriously this set is just so versatile and so much fun!! It's also great to pair up with Very Merry Sentiments which is a great collection of classic holiday sentiments!

I stamped my Beyond Borders images down the side of the cardstock and then carefully colored them in with Copic markers for a bolder look.

I used 2 different shapes of Spellbinders Nestabilities (I believe one is Labels Four) for the sentiment panel - they ended up sort of looking like a bow don't you think? The patterned paper is from Echo Park - they have the cutest Christmas papers!

A bit of bling and some ribbon tied behind the sentiment is all that was needed to finish it up! These would be super easy to mass produce and you could even use different border images from Beyond Borders and different colors/papers to keep from getting board!

Happy Release Day!! We've got lots to get to today so let's jump right in! Good Monday morning everyone! It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday again, something I look forward to each week! As I was searching around for inspiration yesterday I decided to check out the Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoaststampers and play along. This week's Featured Stamper JBgreendawn's gallery has lots of great cards to case, but I chose this one for it's obvious great CAS design.

My card uses 2 different Kitchen Sink Stamps sets, 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe and Multi-Step Gift.

Instead of using a label background stamp (which I don't have) I die cut my Nestabilities shape out of Masking Paper (you can find that in the KSS Store also!!) and then used the negative space as a mask where I wanted the stamping - make sense? Let me know if you'd like a picture of what I'm trying to describe! Once I had my negative mask, I used 3 Step Holly & Mistletoe to stamp repeatedly inside the area. I also added a bit of sponging where there was no stamping just to define the area clearly.

My Holly recipe was:
Step 3 - (Handsome Hunter) SU!, Step 2 - (Cottage Ivy) Memento, Step 1 - (Bamboo Leaves) Memento

Berries:
Step 3 - (Cherry Cobbler) SU!, Step 2 - (Red) Ranger, Step 1 - (Lady Bug Red) Memento

The center package image from Multi-Step Gift was stamped and then cut out and popped on the kraft circle. I love this layout - it's very elegant!

TCP Sneaky Peek #6

Welcome! It's almost Release Day at The Cat's Pajamas - remember to set your alarms for 8 pm EST tomorrow night (11/28) so that you won't miss the Release Pajamas Party in the TCP Forum on Splitcoaststampers! Today's Sneaky Peek is Raising Cane! We just can't get enough of this adorable little guy and I'm pretty sure you all agree! My card today is pretty CAS but I love it (can I say that??)!

I stamped the cute bunny right on my Neenah cardbase (gotta have the heavyweight Neenah for these no layer cards!), masked the ears and stamped "Tis the season to be" down the left side in gray ink. The bunny was minimally colored and then had some red glitter added on the candy cane and flocking on the Santa hat.

The sentiment was embossed on one of the Circus Panel CutUps dies and added with a rhinestone. Finally, the fun Striped Grosgrain Ribbon added at the top finished it off nicely. Pretty simple!

Sneaky Peek Day 2 - Merry Christmas, Honey!

Good morning and welcome to Sneaky Peek Day 2 at The Cat's Pajamas!! Have you been commenting in the In It To Win It thread for your chance to win? If not, start today!

Today's peek is Merry Christmas, Honey featuring our sweet bear and all his honey pots around the tree! What a fun image this is to color, and add some bling to! :)

If you look closely you'll also see another new CutUps die, Anywhere Ribbon Slide. This die is awesome because just as it's name implies, you can put it anywhere!! Alma's so smart - she designed it to work perfectly with your other straight edge dies. I used the Circus Border die with it and since it only cuts the ribbon slits, I was able to just put the two dies side by side and cut them together in one pass - genius!

Here's a closer look at the result s you get with the Anywhere Ribbon Slide CutUps die. Oh and the ribbon I have sliding through that die?? Yup, another new color of TCP's very popular Seam Binding!! The Cat's Pajamas Sneaky Peek Day 1

Good Morning!! It's time again for some sneaky peeks from The Cat's Pajamas! In case you didn't hear, Release Day is November 29th and there will be our customary Pajama Party in the Splitcoaststampers Forum on Monday, Nov. 28 from 8-10 pm EST. There will be more peeks and most importantly PRIZES! :)

Today is the very first sneak peek and it's also TCP Tuesday! Jen is our Hipster Hostess with a beautiful set of inspiration photos which you can see here. I love the way the neutral colors look so soft and the pop of green in one of the photos. The set the Cat Packers are all peeking today is Snow Days - such an adorable image!

I am also giving you a glimpse at one of the new CutUps dies. It's called Snowflake Lace Paper and it's gorgeous!! I used it today to emboss my card instead of a die cut, and it works beautifully both ways! The neat thing too is that when you die cut it you are left with some beautiful snowflakes to use as embellies!

I'm not sure if you can see from the photo, but I added some sparkly Stickles to all the snowballs and snowy areas on the image. One more new product can be seen, can you guess?? A new color of TCP's fabulous Seam Binding - isn't it pretty? Perfect for the holidays!

Good Monday morning! I'm back from a very nice weekend away with my husband but a bit late with my post this morning. It's Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday and definitely time to be thinking about Christmas cards!

Gingerbread men are everywhere right now aren't they? They are the perfect yummy treat during the holidays and this little guy from Kitchen Sink Stamps set Build a Garland is so cute! I stamped him as follows:

Step 3 - (Rich Cocoa) Memento
Step 2 - (Latte) Adirondack
Step 1 - (Latte, stamped off) Adirondack

I cut a rectangle out of the cardbase using Nestabilities and made a frame with 2 different Nestabilities. The gingerbread man was stamped on the cut-out rectangle, matted and placed on the inside of the card. Just a fun little twist on a CAS card!

I used my Scor-Pal to make 2 lines above and below the sentiment and of course had to add a bit of bling! :) Yummmmmm, I think I need gingerbread for breakfast! :)

Happy Thursday everyone!! Let me first say a huge thank you for all the sweet comments and congratulations from my announcement Tuesday!! You all are just the BEST!! :) I made you all a little card to say thanks! And since there's a new TCP Tuesday challenge I used the fabulous sketch that our equally fabulous Hostess With the Mostest Leigh came up with! Truth be told I did have a bit of trouble getting started, but in the end it wasn't nearly as hard as I was making it out to be in my mind. Sometimes we try too hard don't we??

I pulled out the adorable Snowflake Girl from The Cat's Pajamas and paper pieced her little coat.

So many other goodies here too - the Snowflake CutUps dies is one of my favorite snowflakes ever!! I used the sentiment flag from the Easy Rosette CutUps die and of course some yummy Cream Seam Binding which has become a true "go to" ribbon for me!

Here's a closer shot of the snowflake. And how about that bling? LOVE!! It's a Sparklet from Kaiser and I think I should have them in every color!!

Did you guess?? I can hardly believe it myself but today, after nearly a month of keeping a secret (which was very hard!!), I can finally spill ...

Yup, that's my new gig! I'm one of the newest members of the Splitcoaststampers Dirty Dozen, which officially makes me a "Dirty Girl" as they are affectionately referred to! :) I have to say how thrilled and grateful I am to be in such illustrious company, past and present!! I have long admired these ladies, many I am blessed to have met and call my friends! I've learned from them and so many others in this amazing crafty community - seriously I think I learn something everyday!! It's wonderful how giving stampers are, isn't it?

Holiday Happiness

Good morning friends ! Just popping in quickly today with another card I made for VSN Mini Friday night. This was for the first challenge, Warm and Cozy and all Bundled Up! You had to use an image of something you bundle up in AND you had to use felt.

I used Wings of Joy from Taylored Expressions - love that sweet line of warm winter woolies!! :) The card measures about3.5" x 6"-ish.

After coloring the image I die cut two pieces of ric rac, entwined them together and then stitched down the center. They sort of look like the ties on one of those fun knitted hats, don't you think?!

Friday night was the Winter VSN (Virtual Stamping Night) Mini at Splitcoaststampers - were you there? If you've never been, it's lots of fun. The challenges were great and I think I actually get more stamping done when I'm only "virtually" stamping with my friends - LOL! One of the challenges, Let It Snow, was to use Flocking or Flower Soft as snow on your card.

Since you only have 45 minutes to complete your card, I went with a CAS design and 2 fun Kitchen Sink Stamps sets, Multi-Step Autumn Owl & Moon and Friends of the Moon.

I stamped the moon with: Step 1 - (Fresh Snow) Papertrey Ink, Step 2 - (Crushed Curry stamped off) SU!, Step 3 - (Going Gray) SU! I then embossed Santa's sleigh with black embossing powder.

For my snow, I just a white piece of cardstock and added Fun Flock using Heat & Stick powder. It still looked a bit plain so I added a strip of Scor-Tape (1/8") to the top edges and then poured on some glitter. The red gingham ribbon just added a fun pop of color!

Happy Friday! I had a few minutes yesterday afternoon and decided to play along with a quick challenge! Have you spied the new release from Flourishes??? Oh my goodness such prettiness! They have 3 challenges going on right now and I decided to try The Tag You're It Challenge. I have a few Flourishes sets, but I have nothing that is even remotely related winter so I really had to think about it a bit. Here's what I came up with:

The set I used, Fanciful Flourishes, has a beautiful damask image which I stamped in dark green ink all over a piece of shimmery white paper. I then die cut my paper with the largest tree Nestabilities and viola ... my Christmas tag was born! :) The cranberry paper behind the tree is shimmery too!

I added some pearl flourishes to decorate my tree and of course a tiny star on top! I didn't really want to add a sentiment on the front so I put it on the back - it's the perfect place to write a little message too!

TCP Tuesday 184 & News!

Good morning my friends! Lots to get to this morning . . . first up, the new TCP Tuesday Challenge was issued by our Hostess With the Mostest Susan! Here it is:

Ok, so the challenge is to use your "Foodie" stamps from The Cat's Pajamas (any stamp that has a food image). But Susan is shaking things up a bit too - we are also challenged to use the Icing Border CutUps die on our card!

I have been slightly in love with popcorn lately - don't know why, but a bowl of air-popped corn with a touch of salt and butter has a way of satisfying! :) So as I looked through my stamps and found Good Friends I knew I had to use it!

Can you spy my Icing Border die peeking out from the bottom of the floral panel? That's one of the awesome things about CutUps dies - they are so versatile!! I only showed a tiny bit of the diecut and it changed the whole look!

I used Jen's Sketch For You To Try for November on this one - just with a tiny tweek (I didn't use the skinny panel across the middle). But I did add the popcorn!! Can you tell?? My husband thinks I'm a bit crazy but you can tell those embollies are popcorn right?!! I told him stampers are very smart people - they will definitely get it! LOL! I used the Cloud Border CutUps die and2 colors of Felt which were scrunched and sewn into place. Mmmm, now I'm hungry!

It's Monday again and I hope you all enjoyed a great weekend! Did you enjoy your extra hour? :) I've started to think about Christmas cards already -I know. . .it seems way to early. But you all know in this business we have to start early! We are studying birds currently for science with the children and it's made me think recently about this beautiful set, Multi-Step Winter Cardinals from Kitchen Sink Stamps.

I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch and some pretty cardinal paper to make my card. I looked up pictures of the female cardinal and decided to make a little couple of lovebirds. My ink recipe was:

Male Bird: Step 4 - (Imperial Purple) Versafine, Step 3 - (Crimson Red) Versafine, Step 2 - (Lady Bud Red) Memento, Step1 - (Desert Sand) Memento

Female Bird: Step 4 - (Imperial Purple) Versafine, Step 3 - (Latte) Adirondack, Step 2 - (Desert Sand 2x) Memento, Step 1 - (Desert Sand) Memento (for Steps 3, 2 and 1 I used Lady Bug Red to add red to her wing and beak).

Pine Boughs: Step 4 - (Olympia Green) Versamark, Step 3 - (Rich Cocoa) Memento, Step 2 - (Cottage Ivy) Memento, Step 1 - (Bamboo Leaves) Memento

In the end I ended up cutting both birds out and adhering them to my card. The male is popped up with foam adhesive too.

TCP Tuesday 183 - Color Challenge

Hello!! I've had plans to post this all day and even though it's late I'm here to share the new TCP Tuesday Challenge this week. Lori is our Hostess With the Mostest and she has a fun color challenge!! I probably wouldn't have come up with this on my own, but I love a good challenge so I embraced it and here's my card!

As you can see I used Admit One with the new Big Ticket CutUps die. Let me just say again that this set and ticket are so much fun!! You can use it in so many ways!! I tried out making a line of several tickets like Lori showed us during Sneaky Peek week and it was super easy (click HERE to see Lori's post)

I also used the Circus Border CutUps die but used the negative space which is these fun little brackets with perfect spots for some bling! The hearts on the ticket were embossed with clear ep and the sentiments were embossed with some Distress Embossing Powder.

Happy Monday! I can't believe we have come to the end of October already! I decided to make a few last cards for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges on SCS. This is a pretty quick CAS card for the Hope for the Holidays challenge - to make a Christmas card using pink.

I used my Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi-Step Christmas Lights for this and just used various combinations of pink for different shades of pink bulbs.

I used some Oyster Divine Twine for the cord and used a little thread to tack it down under each bulb. I also gave a couple of the bulbs a coating of glitter for some sparkle.

You could also use the Multi-Step Ornament and Stars set, also from Kitchen Sink Stamps to make a similar card.

New stamps and dies were released last week from The Cat's Pajamas - I'm sure some of you have them in your hot little hands and are itching to ink them up!! :) I just wanted to pop in today and share a quick clean and simple (aka CAS) card I made using Clownin' Around.

Who doesn't love these adorable little penguins?? And performing at the circus - even better!! This card is around 6.5" x 4" (or something close to that). I simply stamped the balls across the page as if they were rolling. The only additions are the popped up teeny umbrella and the sentiment panel which is one of the new Circus Panel CutUps dies also released.

As I look at it now, I think I should have colored the stars red. Oh well, it's still a fun, quick card! I hope you have a "Big Top kinda day!!" :)

Good morning! It's Tuesday again, already, really!! LOL! It's my turn this week to be the Hipster Hostess over at The Cat's Pajamas which means the TCP Tuesday this week is a Supply/Technique challenge. I'm challenging you to use Acetate on your project. There are TONS of uses for acetate!! Don't believe me? Just check out the Splitcoaststampers Resources search results for Acetate. Choose one of those techniques or come up with your own creative use! Just be sure to link up your project on Alma's blog for a chance at this week's Cat Cash and this month's Swanky Stamper title!

I haven't made a shaker card in quite a while and I don't think I ever made one like this - it was so fun!!

The stamp set is Hello Pumpkin and the sketch is last week's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I simply cut out the pumpkin image using a craft knife and replaced it with the image stamped on acetate. I placed some patterned paper behind the acetate, along with some Glitzy Glass Glitter and adhered it around the edges with foam adhesive. The orange and purple Glitzy give such a nice shimmer!

I also can't seem to stop using the new Circus Border CutUps die, it's the perfect border almost anywhere! So now it's your turn! What ideas do you have for acetate? Come play along!! :)

I love Fall don't you? The colors of the leaves are so inspiring! I need to make around 35 ATCs (Artist Trading Cards in case you aren't familiar with them) for my church this week. As I was thinking about what to use, I kept coming back to leaves and the beautiful Fall season.

Kitchen Sink Stamps has a gorgeous set, Autumn Squirrel, that includes 2 leaves and 2 sizes of acorns - perfect! So I started out by making some background paper. It wasn't really that hard either. I just started by stamping all my step 3s, and then step 2s and then, of course, step 1s. I changed the colors a bit and added more leaves, then some acorns and finally the great script stamp from 3 Step Letters From the Past also from Kitchen Sink Stamps. Here's what I ended up with.

I'll get 10 ATCs out of each sheet so I only need to make 3 1/2 of these, not too bad!! After I cut it up, I added the verse, which was printed on the computer, diecut, sponged and stamped with the small acorn.

I try not to add too much "stuff" to these since more steps really takes a ton of more time when you're making 35!! And they also need to fit into clear sleeves in an ATC album.. I think the brightness of the leave and the mix with the text stamps gives these plenty of interest!

Happy Friday! Here's a quick little card I made last week for The Cat's Pajamas new release and for Beate's Encircled With Love Challenge for HYCCT. Circle cards are so much fun to make and this sweet little bunny from the new set Oh Chute fit perfectly!

I stamped the image directly on the patterened cloud paper and then paper pieced him on top. Of course he had to be pink since this was for a HYCCT challenge! I used the Cloud Border CutUps die and cut apart 2 of the clouds - love that versatility!

Good morning! I have 2 more cards to share today that were made for the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges on SCS. In case you don't know, it's all in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month this month and all the cards made are being sent to the MD Anderson Cancer Center in TX.

My first card is for the Butterflies of Hope challenge. I tried something a bit out of the ordinary for me so I'd love to get some feedback on it! I used the Lacey Butterfly CutUps die and the Flutter By stamp set both from The Cat's Pajamas. The small dies, Mini Exotic Butterflies are also sold in the TCP store and work so nicely with the Lacey Butterfly!

I first stamped my background paper with the Fluttering By sentiment and then right over that with the tiny butterfly and dotted trail stamps. Next I die-cut the Lacey Butterfly and added a piece of pink cardstock behind the cut-out image. I used the die-cut, which I held in place, as a stencil and sponged on some dark pink ink over the detail of the die. I also sponged around the edge of the butterfly to give it more presence.

Once that was done I just assembled the card and added the 2 smaller butterflies with their wings folded up off the card. I used the new Circus Border CutUps die on the side and heat embossed the rest of the sentiment that. Like I said, it's different for me, but I kind of like it! :)

Next up is a card for the Brave Heart challenge. I pulled out my Stamping Bella images (which shamefully haven't seen much ink lately) and used Addy 'tude Loves to Sparkle. I thought this image was so fun and girly - definitely good for a pick-me-up card! Lots of sparkle and bling here too! ;)

The dress was paper pieced but I also added a layer of glitter to it. For the wrap, I used Fun Flock and a wee bit of glitter. The sketch is FTL#162 from Clean & Simple Stamping.

The new TCP Tuesday Challenge went up yesterday and it's Jen's turn as Hostess With the Mostest! She comes up with the best Inspiration Challenges and this week is no exception. Take a look at this montage ... what does it conjure up for you?

I immediately think of the fun penguin trio from The Cat's Pajamas set Idols. For any of you lovers of oldies this set is a must! I paired all three of the "black & whites" with 2 of the fun hairdos in the set - doesn't it make you think the Monkeys and Elvis?

I also used the musical note die that is included in the Home Tweet Home CutUps dies. It's a great size for adding to sentiments as I've done!

It's the start of a brand new week! Anyone have big plans? I am actually looking forward to school with the children these days! We are currently studying the very beginnings of the Civil War which is such an interesting period in American History! Plus, the books we have been reading are so interesting!

Anyway, I digress. . . you came here for Kitchen Sink Stamps Monday!! Continuing with my theme of the last couple of weeks I have another card for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges over on Splitcoaststampers. I've been having so much fun making pink cards for such a great cause! Today I made a card for Taylor's Fight Like A Girl challenge - to use girly elements on your card!!

I pulled out Multi-Step Cowboy Boots and got to work on this great pair of girly-pink cowboy boots!! Aren't they appropriate especially since they are going to Texas?! :) Love the sentiment too which is from Multi-Step Cowboy Hat. (In case you were wondering, "cowboy up" is an urban expression meaning when things are getting tough you have to get back up, dust yourself off and keep trying - I looked it up! *wink*)

I couldn't help but add a bit of bling for even more girly points!! Here's the ink recipe for the boots:

Happy Friday!! Just wanted to pop in and share a card from this week's release at The Cat's Pajamas. I didn't have a chance to share this set and it's so adorable!! This set is Go Bananas and isn't it fun?!

I used Jen's October SFYTT (I think I've been able to participate every month so far - yea!!).

You might notice that I also used the new Big Ticket CutUps die and the frame from the new coordinating set Admit One - see you don't have to use it for just tickets! It makes a nice focal point and since it's a good size a lot of images will fit in there!

The ribbon is some of TCP's yummy Seam Binding that I wet and spritzed with Glimmer Mist. I used a couple of different colors and even swiped it over an ink pad to get a multi-colored effect.

Good morning! I have another card for the Hope You Can Cling To challenges on Splitcoaststampers to share with you today. This time, I played along with Tammy's Bosom Buddies challenge - to make a card that incorporates pink and ribbon with a friendship theme.

I pulled out this old mini My Favorite Things set I have from my days long ago on another design team. Happily for you, MFT recently released Who's That Girl Chooses Hope which is similar but new and improved! What a great set to use to show your support during Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October) or any time of the year!

Today I am participating in completely different sort of hop. Today I'm joining with some 125 other designers as well as many other stampers all across the world who have joined together to support our friend and fellow stamper Katie Renz who is currently battling inoperable gastric cancer. We are proud and humbled to be Swimming for Katie!

If you're not familiar with her, Katie's cancer story started just before Christmas last year. This young, beautiful, healthy, vibrant mother of 3 with her infectious smile was suddenly diagnosed with an inoperable cancer, virtually overnight. A few tummy aches and then stage 4 gastric cancer. Her first post about it is here. The idea of “Swimming for Katie” came from her recent post here.

This exclusive stamp used in my sample, designed by Becky Oehlers is available as a clear stamp, as well as a digis or a dig and SVG cut file. 100% of the profits go to Katie's fund to help her and her young family. Her husband Kevin and her three young children need our help and support. I have another card for the Hope You Can Cling To event on Splitcoastampers, remember it runs all month! I haven't been able to play along every day but am happy to be sending out a little package of cards today to the MD Anderson Cancer Center. I always forget how much fun it is to work with this Butterfly set - the images are beautiful and they come in so many sizes! The ink recipes are:

Good Saturday morning! It's a special week around here so that calls for a special Saturday post! Today is Day of Sneaky Peek week at The Cat's Pajamas and today's new swanky set is Presto!! More big floppy ears to love! :)

I love the sentiments in this set, they really give you lots of options! I decided to go with the obvious lovey card and even went through Valentine's Day paper stash to pull out something lush and pretty for our cute big-eared bunny.

This is also a great look at the new set of Circus Panel CutUp dies all together. It's 3 dies that nest perfectly but can be used separately as you been seeing all week! It's hard to see, but I also have the new Circus Border tucked back in there behind Harvey (the bunny you know, remember that movie??).

Good morning! It was such a fun day yesterday kicking off the Sneaky Peeks at The Cat's Pajamas wasn't it?? It was exciting to see that you all were as excited as we are about that fabulous admit one set and matching die!

Today's set is Bearing Gifts featuring an adorable little girly bear in a box! This set is so cute and I think it would work great for birthdays and Christmas, don't you?!

I'm sure you've also noticed the new CutUps die I've used on my card. In fact, it's 1 die in a set of 3 nesting dies that coordinate beautifully but also work perfectly well individually!! I used the largest one in the set to cut a sentiment window in my card. Just added some patterned paper on the inside and stamped my sentiment right on that.

Just to dress up the sides, and because I love making them, I added 2 rolled seam binding rosettes.

Ok on to the first peek . . . which today is incorporated with our weekly TCP Tuesday challenge! Our Hostess With The Mostest is Susan and she wants us (and you) to HYPE THE TYPE! Use any Alphabet or sentiment stamp. How easy is that?! TCP has so may swanky sentiments and today's peek, Admit One adds more great ones!!

This set is so much fun to play with and just wait until you see what the other Cat Packers have made - mind blowing stuff and I cannot wait to case many of them!! How cute is that ticket?! Would you love it if I said this was also a peek at a new CutUps die???! You can use this for sooooo many things! I had these small black and white bags from Whisker Graphics and thought they'd make adorable Halloween party invitations! Each bag has a small Hershey bar inside.

After I made these I wanted a matching card and was so tickled to discover that it was SO easy to make using our Big Pinking CutUps die!! I simply made 2 cuts (being careful to keep the die lined up) to get a large black zigzag which was then adhered to white cardstock. I love the look, don't you? It'd be fun to make in all sorts of colors!

I made another ticket for the card but changed up the layout of it this time!
